Systems Design

At AUA Industria, we employ a systematic and rigorous approach to design depending on the scale and complexity of the system implementation. In this approach, we begin by asking ourselves six key questions:

  1. What is the appropriate system for this situation?
  2. How is the environment?
  3. What goal does the system have with respect to its environment?
  4. How will the system correct its actions?
  5. How does the system measure whether it has achieved its goal?
  6. Are the available resources sufficient to meet the system's purpose?

Open Architecture

A major component of our systems design is our preference for Open Architecture i.e. the ability to integrate to a wide range of security devices from different manufacturers and ensure seamless interoperability between these systems. This is achieved at both hardware and software levels.

Open Architecture is the absolute cornerstone of Integration. Open architecture hardware allows end users to use equipment from various manufacturers, creating a systems perfectly tailored to suit their needs. On the other hand, open architecture software acts as a system manager that coordinates the interaction between the various sub-systems in an integrated security system. A key element of coordinating this interaction is the sharing of information from the different “silos of information” which reside in the various systems and their databases.

We lean towards open architecture for the following reasons:

  1. Ease of installation
  2. Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  3. Ease of scalability and multinational application
  4. Ease of integration
  5. Ease of communication on networks
  6. Elimination of “vendor lock-in”
  7. Readily available support
